  In Memoriam

Mark was such a fun guy. Marion loved him. I had a few classes with Mark, and remember that all the guys were jealous that he could grow a full beard in high school.I came home one afternoon and found Marion crying in my bedroom, and I asked what was wrong, and he had just found out that Mark had died. It took him a long time to feel better, he was so depressed. He told me shortly after the funeral that he felt like he was going to die young.I wish he had been wrong.Mark, you were a joy to be around. Be at peace.

Mark and I were in Navy boot camp together. We had become friends and after that discovered through our conversations that we had both attended La Quinta and that we even had some mutual friends. It really is a small world. Mark was great guy his smile could lift you from doldrums of boot camp and his stories would bring a smile to all of us lucky enough to know him. I found out about Mark’s passing while overseas, it’s really good to see his image and know that his memory lives on. Thank you for your service to our country my friend, Rest in Peace.
