Rick died April 15, 1991 while serving on Governors Island, New York with the Coast Guard. He left a loving wife and three children who are now adults.

In Memoriam
I lived across the street from Rick when I was 15 years old. He was my first boyfriend! He took me to my first formal dance at La Quinta when I was a sophomore and he was a senior. I should have known then that he would end up in the military...he always stood very straight and tall. He was the nicest boy. I always followed him around like a little puppy and he was always considerate of my feelings. I was sorry to see that he was gone. I have wonderful memories of a very nice very kind neighbor.

This is my father. I lost him when I was sixteen. I love and miss him more than words can say. I know he is watching over me and my family.

We lived across the street from Rick and his family on Earl Circle. We are so sorry to learn of his passing. Our son Steve Deering passed away in 2000. He was 2 years behind Rick at La Quinta. Our prays go out to the family. Don and Kathleen Deering
