Spider, I can`t believe you are gone! I never had a chance to tell you how much your friendship meant to me. I will never forget you.

Bless you Scott(Blue) and your family and friends. I am glad you found your way in life but sad that it did not last long. I hope you had happiness. Thank you for all we learned together and for waltzing left handed with me.

I hope that you read my last letter, Scott, before you passed into eternity. It was important, especially after meeting you in September, 2002, just two months before meeting your maker. I wish I had called you up on November 26, 2002, but how was anyone supposed to know that you would die? The brevity of life is so real to all of us.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Spider's loss and share the feeling of having lost a brother. He was and will forever be in my mind one of the talented and creative crew that served under the guidance of Mr. Hill's watchful eyes as we documented the memories of our youth. I offer my sincerest sympathy to Spider's family. Please know that even hearts who have not touched for so many years have been broken by what has happened. Such is the legacy of his gentle soul.

I'm at a loss for words as I having learned of Spider's passing. I'm certainly guilty of not having kept in touch with so many friends that were key to a very significant part of my life. I am thankful that in the past couple of years Spider had renewed contact with me after 20 years of not seeing each other. Spider was the most talented, deepest young person I ever knew. He was also one of the most grounded, down to earth people as well. Quick with a witty comment, and equally quick with very deep thought. Spider, I'm thankful for renewed, although minimal, contact the past couple of years. I'm thankful to have had you for a friend in High School, and I regret not having continued contact and that friendship beyond that time. Spider, you are missed. You and your family are in my prayers.

A friend so close, he's like a brother. We have been each other's best friend's since 1974, and have stayed close since then. It is difficult to let that all go, especially when we assumed that we would continue our maturity through parenthood, to being Grandparents. We have a lifetime together as buddies. From the first girlfriend stage, to now being parents and middleaged, and everything in between. We celebrated our friendship by being each other's Best Man when we went through that important stage in life. I can't gather the appropriate words to show my respect and love for my friend. My wife, family, parents, and brothers are all at a tremendous loss to Scott's passing. A family memeber has left us to continue his journey. We are blessed to have been such a close part of his special life. He now is with our Lord and at Peace. I Miss you and Thank You for all that you have done for me and my family, and most of all, the Honor of being your friend.
