	Randy was a great person. He was a firefighter, battalion chief, training officer, teacher and mentor to many firefighters in Southern California. He worked for Newport Beach fire department.
	Comments:
	He will be missed by many. His sister, Elaine Scheerer, graduated from La Quinta in 1971.

I knew Randy as a great fire instructor and God fearing man. I believe that if there is anything that Randy would want us to know-Is that one would accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

I was reading the LA Times this morning and saw a photo titled áfirefighter remembered.á When I saw the name Randy Scheerer I thought immediately of our La Quinta Randy and pulled out the old album. I'd convinced myself it was not the same Randy when I happened on this website. I send my sympathy to Randy's family. I remember Randy as a smart and kind young man and, I am sure, he grew into a wonderful husband and father. I know he will be missed by many.
