  In Memoriam

We were next door neighbors and good friends. I think she liked my brother Jon, but our friendship linked back together a few years back and we started emailing each other and one day the emails stopped, and I lost my friend. Sharon, I see you in my head wearing your cheerleading outfit. I can`t seem to see you any other way. I love you for your kindness, and friendship.......and love.

I 'foundá Sharon on this site soon after she first became sick, we emailed a few times and I have prayed for her constantly. I am saddened by learning of her passing now. Sharon was a wonderful friend throughout high school and I'm happy that we had the chance to átalká here even if ever so briefly. She will be missed John Dacquisto 1968

I am in total shock! My memories of Sharon are of a sweet, smiling cheerleader who was fun to talk to and be with. She dated a friend of mine and was always at parties with us having fun as seniors. We talked on e-mail a time or two when she told me about her job, family and kids and how things were going well. She asked about my brother as well. Somehow I thought we might see one another again under good circumstances. Maybe that is just another teen-age dream that has faded away with the years. Be good, Sharon. Only the good die young. Very Sincerely, Dan S. Cunningham

Sharon was a yell leader when I was a freshman. During my freshman year the school decided we needed a frosh yell squad and I was one of a hundred or so hopefuls that tried out. Each of the five yell leaders got a group of us to instruct and Sharon was the leader for our group. She was really sweet to all of us (something different in our short high school careers--we were Scrubs, after all) and extremely patient--which couldn't have been easy given the level of coordination most of us had achieved. When Sharon joined Classmates I wrote to her and re-introduced myself, reminding her of the experience. We'd both had Mr. Hill back at LQ (she was on the Sun staff, I was on the yearbook) and knew a lot of the same people, so we exchanged e-mails reminiscing about old times and old friends. She hadn't changed in all the years, still a very sweet person, enthusiastic about her kids and life in general. How sad that her grandbaby was born just before she died. She will miss o
