Pat leaves behind her husband John Wheeler and her two sons, Travis and Todd.

Married to John Wheeler for 30+ years, she considered her two sons, Travis and Todd, her greatest achievement. She was a Para educator at an elementary school for special needs students, mostly boys, when the Brain Tumor was found. They loved their Ms. Pat!

Pat joined us in the La Quinta Aztecs Alumni Association Message Forum in 2001. She was a very active member on the board, enjoyed debating Football and Hockey with everyone. She loved football and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. She also loved working in her garden, playing blackjack, and loved her job. She posted 3647 messages since she joined.

  In Memoriam

My fondest memories are of you standing by the pool on the Monarch of the Seas with drink in hand, a big grin on your face and having the time of your life. With dignity you held on through your fight and when God decided he needed you more than we did, you accepted your fate with beautiful grace. You were the perfect examle for us to follow and you will be missed. Thanks for the black jack lessons and all the encouragement you gave to me every day on the message board. God Bless and see you when it's my turn. Love you!

Pat, I so enjoyed getting to meet you in person in Vegas. I knew instantly why the girls love you so. Your love for your family and your kids in class(and your football) were no secret. Nor was your zest for life. My thoughts and prayers are with your beloved John, Travis and Todd. I'm sorry that we won't get a chance to get together again in this world. But you promised to save me a seat for when we do get together again one day. Until then, be at peace.

John, Todd & Travis. I am so very sorry for your loss. Pat was a wonderful lady and she is so proud of all of you!! I feel very honored to have known Pat and I miss her deeply. I will be in Denver this weekend and will be stopping by Ft. Logan to leave some flowers for her. I will miss our áchatsá about gardening, work and family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I know some day Pat and I will meet again.
