	Marina D. Ames, 31, died unexpectedly in her sleep Saturday, April 13, 2002 at her home here. Born in Rockland, January 21, 1971, she was the daughter of Maxwell H. and Elaine F. Ames. She attended schools in Westminster, California, and graduated from Rockland High School. She also attended school in Billings, Montana. For the past six years she has lobstered from Matinicus and Vinalhaven. Pre-deceased by her father September 21, 2001, Ms Ames is survived by her mother, Elaine Ames-Brown and her husband Michael Brown of North Haven; her daughter, Adrianna; Andrianna’s father Charles ‘Chuck’ Williams of Vinalhaven; her fiancé’ Troy Ames of Vinalhaven; one brother, Marshal Ames and his life partner Tracy Bennet both of Rockport; grandparents, Beatrice Ames of Vinalhaven, Kathleen Morse of Rockland, Betty Brown of North Haven, Lavon Ames and his wife Vera of Camden; aunts and uncles, Cathy & Robert Oakes, Carolyn (Ames) & Randy Pitts, Lavon ‘Biscuit’ Ames, III all of V

I am so sad to hear of Marina`s passing. She was such a bright spot in my sixth grade summer and junior high school. So much fun and really a great friend. I am so sad to hear this bright unforgetable light has gone out. My deepest sympathies to her family. I will never forget her.

I was shocked 3 nights ago whenI saw of this on the Class of 88 reunion site. We had so many fun times together. I will always remember you Marina. My sincere condolences to her family and friends, but especially to her daughter, Adrianna. I hope she will always know how special her mommy is and how much her mommy loved her; along with how much her mommy was loved by others. Marina, you are up there with my brother. I thought I had one guardian angel...now I have 2. FF - Squirrely

I can't believe I am seeing this! I have been to this website times after time and must have just blocked out that Marina had passed. There was certainly a group of us that had some fun times together. She will be missed by many.

It was such a sad shock to find that Marina had passed. She was always so friendly and forever smiling. I dont know what the circumstances of her death are or if she had a family, but I am so sorry and she will be truly missed.
