Darren was born in Inglewood, California on April 23rd, 1969, and lived his entire life in Southern California. Darren graduated from La Quinta High School in Westminster in 1987, where he excelled at football. Darren`s enthusiasm, energy, and good-hearted sense of humor made him the type of person that attracted friends from all walks of life. Darren was an entrepreneur and restaurant manager for well-known establishments such as Hennessey`s in Laguna Beach and Dana Point, My Place in Huntington Beach, and The Alibi Bar & Grill in Corona. Many people who visited those restaurants entered as patrons or co-workers and soon became Darren`s close friends. Many of those trips included his countless friends from East Yorba Linda Little League, where Darren coached his son`s team for many years.
