  In Memoriam

I hadn`t checked in on this website or on Facebook for Joe for--well, too long. Otherwise I would not have had the sad surprise of knowing Joe had passed. I am proud to say that I was one of Joe`s first guitar teachers. In high school, Joe was, for me, a fashion icon. You are a good soul, Joe. Thanks for sharing a little part of your life with me.

Joe...you were my next door neighbor for several years in Fountain Valley. You were always friendly and cool...big smile! A few years ago, after you`d returned from South Africa, we connected again through email on this website. You brought one of your daughters, Tia, to meet in Corona Del Mar for coffee and reminiscing about LQ, people, neighborhood, etc. You were a special light in the lives of people who knew you. You are missed!

Joe my good friend. I will miss you. We were in contact off and on through the years and I was always happy to hear from you. We were very close a long time ago. I have great memories like our surf adventure to Mexico when we got stuck in Tijuana. Or when you, Tom McIntosh and I went climbing at Whitney Portals and they sent a rescue helicopter after us thinking we were stuck then when we came down they turned back. Many a great time and lots of laughs. Thanks for being my good friend.
