	Accomplishments:
	Gayla was born in Torrance, CA, attended college in California before marrying Irven Chunyk and moving to Washington in 1975. She worked for Optometric Physicians NW and was an active member of the Red Hat Ladies Society with her sister and close friend. Gayla was passionate about her family and kept busy visiting her daughter in Las Vegas, cheering on her youngest at her roller derby bouts, and of course being an amazing "Baba" for her four grandsons. All her family and friends agree that Gayla was the best mom, sister, daughter, wife, Baba, and friend anyone could ask for.

	Gayla is survived by her husband Irven Chunyk of Bellingham, son Cary and wife Loyce, daughter Toska Hedwall and husband Lance and their four sons , Hunter, Noah, Roman, and Judah, daughter Marika Chunyk of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Jenovia Chunyk, mother and step father Virginia and Bill Hobbs, sister Melody Church, brother Lamont Day and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gayla was a member of Christ the King Church.
