In Memoriam
I worked with Ruben in the summer of 1970 before our senior year at the elementary school across the street from La Quinta on Ward Street. We were both in the NYC (Neighborhood Youth Corp) which sponsored teens with part time jobs who were from families with lower income. We were junior janitors cleaning the school. He was a nice guy but a little more sophisticated than myself when it came to personal issues like sex in particular. I remember him refusing to clean toilets at any cost so that job was given to me. Thanks Ruben.

Ruben was my brother. He did drugs and ruined his body but in the end found religion. He leaves behind his daughter and grandson. Rip big brother.

Ruben was a real nice guy. I wondered what he did in life. We went to Catholic studies at St Barbra`s church. May he rest in peace.
