  In Memoriam

Oh Ralph, I still cannot believe this is real. To me you will always be like a bratty younger brother, rambunctious and full of life. As heartbreaking as this is for all of us left behind, we know you are finally pain free and at peace. Rest easy, Ralphie.

The Van Shoubrouek’s were neighbors on Butterfield Street and great family friends. Ralph was a freshman when I was a senior and I Started giving him rides to school, soon we were best of friends and he became like a little brother to me. I moved to Colorado in ‘78, we remained close and were in each others weddings. We stayed in touch over the years and I cherished our friendship. He was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor, in addition to being a tough nosed football player for the Aztecs. I look forward to the day when we will meet again. Rest easy Ralphie.
