  In Memoriam

I lived up the street from Scott and his family. He and his sisters were always very nice to me, though we did not hang with the same crowd(s). I remember him being good for a sincere laugh. I remain sorry he was lost so soon, but it does not surprise me he leapt off the edge of something great. Scott was never dull, average or anything but grand.

The last time I saw Scott was the night before our 1982 graduation. We had just dropped him off at home after breaking his leg! He was car-surfing and we stopped too quickly and off the hood he flew. As we pulled him off the ground, he said to us, "Don`t worry, just stand me up at my door and I`ll deal with what happens." That was Scott...standing up and dealing with what happens. He stood up that June night in 1982 and he stood up as a member of the US military. Thank you, Scott, for your service. Be at peace.

Scott, Oh, how much I miss you. The last time I saw you was on my 21st birthday. Our picture taken at dads still hangs on my wall. We had a great time and a long and private talk. I know you are at peace and now you have Craig. I miss you both more than I can ever express. See on the other side. Love, your sister.

Scott was LOUD...sometimes too loud but you always knew when he walked in the room and his presence gave you a cozy warm feeling. Scott was sometimes crazy...too crazy at times, but he gave us all the hysterical stories that we all often repeat when we go down memory lane. Scott was also very funny, he always guaranteed you a laugh and was the life of a party...and he really liked parties! Scott was also tough and resilient but if you were fortunate he might have let you into his áworldá and you would have been touched by the compassionate, understanding and endearing person that he was. Scott was also my good friend....he was my kindred spirit... and I really miss him. Before Scott drove away for the last time he said to me: No matter what happens, where life takes us we will always be life-long friends! Your life-long friend indeed! Christie (Trimper) Bartusick

Hey Cuz, It's been so long! I often think of you and remember our childhood days. What fun we all had, the six of you and the six of us! You were such a special part of all our lives. I really miss you. :) With loving memories, Angie Peltz Bernard
